Lingaojiao Centennial lighthouse is located at the west entrance of Qiongzhou Strait. It is the oldest lighthouse in Hainan. In March 2008, 360000 yuan was invested to build the monument to the martyrs of the 40th army in the liberation of Hainan campaign, which was completed and unveiled in May. The monument is designed by Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of fine arts. The design concept is composed of wooden boats, flags, waves and steps. The monument is in the shape of a ship, with the bow raised on the front and fluttering flags on both sides. The overall idea is that the officers and soldiers crossing the sea bravely move forward under the guidance of the war flag.
